Brutal doom not working with gzdoom5/1/2023 The last section is for extra stuff like HD textures, music, and HUD stuff. This part: bd21RC6.pk3 is where Brutal DOOM goes. Next I have extracted Brutal Doom Redemption to that same folder above: But when I run gzdoom.exe it just starts up as before. This part: -file JPCP.wad is the mapset or wad, depending on the contents it could also be a. This part: -iwad DOOM2.wad could also be -iwad DOOMU.wad, it depends on the wad/mod and should be specified by the creator in their readme. I downloaded the file off of ModDB, and put it in the main folder, but it doesnt show up in the list. The C:\games\Brutal FreeDOOM\gzdoom.exe section should be fine on your end, its where your GZDoom.exe lives, easy. Edit its Target line, here is an example from what I'm playing now: "C:\games\Brutal FreeDOOM\gzdoom.exe" -iwad DOOM2.wad -file JPCP.wad bd21RC6.pk3 UDV_v2.12b_A_BASE.pk3 UDV_v2.12b_B_VISOR_Alt_2.pk3 UDV_v2.12b_C_GFX_HIRES_Mugshot_BASE.pk3 To create a shortcut right-click on GZDoom.exe then edit the new shortcut by right-clicking and selecting Properties. If anyone could provide context from a more experienced or competent mind, I would be much. Script error, 'brutalv20b.pk3:blood.txt' line 610: Expected ',', got 'l'. I create a Brutal DOOM folder under my C:\games folder and dump everything in there beside DOOM2.wad, DOOMU.wad and GZDoom. The latest GIT builds of GZdoom (13 april 2016) seem to crash when trying to load brutal doom or its affiliates (ketchup etc.) The log is as follows: Execution could not continue. 3) Choose the Brutal Doom version you want. Put those files wherever you usually put your mods, and in whatever folder organisation you use. Its the files in the skins folder that you want. Extract the mod files from the provided BD64 Zandronum installation. After it, go to the directory that you have the original doom games installed and copy and paste our DOOM.WAD/DOOM2.WAD files in the sourceport folder. The same way you get Brutal Doom working, really, as it is just a mod. 2) Install Zandronum or GZDoom in your hard drive. Load order is important, so whatever wad/mod you load last supersedes what came before it. 1) You need a ZDoom derivated sourceport to run it. To start the games/mods I setup my own shortcuts, some people drag and drop (noobs), others use ZDL (a launcher). Make sure you're running the recent RC of Brutal DOOM and a current stable GZDoom.
